Angrezi Medium Story:

Champak Bansal (Irrfan) is a simple, small-town businessman – one of the owner's of Ghasitaram sweet shop chain – who’s leading a comfortable life with his teenage daughter, Tarika (Radhika Madan). But, Tarika has big dreams – of graduating from a recognised university in London. With little means to fulfil his daughter’s ambition, how far will the father go to ensure Tarika realises her 'videshi aspirations'?

Angrezi Medium Review:

Born and raised in Udaipur (Rajasthan), Champak’s world pretty much revolves around his daily bickering with his other Ghasitaram brother, Gopi (Deepak Dobriyal), and caring for his only daughter, Tarika, who’s all set to graduate high school and embark on another academic journey. But, unlike her father, she doesn’t want to limit her dreams to the place she has grown up in; instead, she wants to explore what lies outside of her small world. Unaware of what's ahead, Champak gives in to his daughter's wishes, but things start to spiral out of control when it comes down to paying the hefty fee. A dedicated father, Champak vows to do whatever it takes to send his daughter to study abroad, and treads on a path that not only proves his unconditional love for his 'betiya', but also redefines their relationship.
Homi Adajania's ‘Angrezi Medium’ touches upon the pulse of the young generation's obsession with pursuing further studies in foreign countries, and their family's determination to embrace every Himalayan hurdle for their loved ones. There are other underlying themes, too, but this remains the primary subject of the film.

Kaamyaab Bollywood Movie Review

Har Kisse Ke Hisse:Kaamyaab Movie Review: This one’s for all the ‘sidekicks’ in Bollywood

Kaamyaab Film Poster

Kaamyaab is an 2020 Bollywood drama film directer & writter  The National Award winner Hardik Mehta, and producer Are Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films. Starring Sanjay Mishra & Deepak Dobriyal in the lead roles, it is the story of a washed up “side-actor” of Hindi movies, who wants to make a comeback with a memorable role so that he can complete a record figure of acting in 500 films.

Film Story:

Back in the 80s and 90s, Sudheer (Sanjay Mishra) was an ‘aloo’ – a moniker given to character actors – and while he has enjoyed his fair share of popularity for his larger-than-life roles, Sudheer is now a recluse. However, an unsuccessful video interview with the media stirs up old memories and instils a new ray of hope in his heart, to reach a new benchmark and face the camera, even if it is for one last time.

Movie Review:

Once a household name, and known for his eccentric portrayal of some of the most outlandish characters Indian cinema has ever witnessed in the golden era of Bollywood, Sudheer knows he’s been moderately famous. But, ‘the old man’ has now accepted his fate – his prime days, as a character artiste, are long over. A widower, living alone in his family home and drowning himself in alcohol, Sudheer shows very little interest when an enthusiastic broadcast journalist shows up for an interview with the ‘Forgotten Stars of Bollywood’. The journalist also requests him to mouth his iconic dialogue – ‘bas enjoying life, aur koi option thodi hai.’ But, a mere piece of paper highlighting his career graph (which she sources online), grabs his attention and he realises that he gave up on acting just one film short of his 500th movie. Apprehensive and out of touch, an avid Sudheer conjures up the strength to chase his newfound dream and hit the movie studios one last time before hanging his boots. But, with the industry undergoing drastic changes over the years – both in terms of acting and its treatment of character actors – how will he find his feet in what now seems like an alien world?

‘Kaamyaab’ is an ode to Bollywood, the larger-than-life movies and their actors, bizarre wigs, love, drama, friendship passion but most importantly, it is about one’s ability to realise their dreams even when the chips are down. After all, a man’s got to enjoy the madness that is life – ‘aur koi option thodi hain?’

Film Story:

Fiercely protective of his elder brother Vikram (Riteish Deshmukh), Ronnie (Tiger Shroff) goes after a dreaded terrorist group in Syria to save him. Can he bring back his brother alive?

Movie Review:

Rippling muscles, six-pack abs and a chiseled face. Meet Ronnie - the handsome hunk whose only job is to magically appear from thin air whenever his elder brother Vikram is in trouble. He will bash up the bad guys to a pulp and go back to minding his own business. But in a sudden twist, Vikram is kidnapped by a terrorist group called Jaish-e-Lashkar in Syria and Ronnie sets off on a rescue mission.

There are ample of slo-mo shots, deafening explosions and lethal punches in ‘Baaghi 3’. But none of it can rise beyond a weak script that doesn’t go for the kill. Knock yourself out only if you’re a diehard Tiger Shroff fan.
